Laser Vago Inland Championships at Grafham Water
The Vagos Inlands were held at Grafham 31st May and 1st June. It was great to see a growing number of boats and with the different sail combinations as well as two handed and singlehanded. With the lack of breeze only one race was sailed on the Saturday. Tom Barford and Tom Castle took an early lead and maintained their position with close racing and various place changes in the fleet behind. Second across the line was Ed Deacon sailing solo (‘I’ve no crew to blame’) followed by Paul Welch and Mike Thompson. Sunday looked more promising albeit winds were still very light. The Barford/Castle team fought through the fleet to take line honours for the second time, once again followed by Ed and the Martin and Emma Keen. The 3rd and last race before the winds completely failed saw Adrian and Sarah Sherratt taking race honours.
